Building Knowledge, Strengthening Communities
Stronger communities begin with informed, prepared and empowered individuals. Our mission is to bring people together to share knowledge, develop practical skills and build resilience across Herefordshire.
ā
From emergency preparedness and first aid awareness to homesteading, self-sufficiency and supporting vulnerable neighbours during difficult times, we're creating a welcoming space where people can learn, connect and help one another.

Awareness Events and Education
We aim to organise educational events, practical workshops and community awareness sessions that equip people with the knowledge and skills to become more prepared and self-reliant. From growing and preserving your own food to first aid, emergency preparedness, off-grid power solutions and sustainable living, our goal is to make practical education accessible to everyone. Through shared knowledge and hands-on learning, we can help build a more capable, confident and resilient community.Ā

Community Action
We aim to build a supportive community network that brings people together to offer practical assistance, promote wellbeing and strengthen local connections. From helping elderly and vulnerable residents access food, essential supplies andĀ prescription collectionsĀ during severe weather, to welfare check-ins, sharing resources, assisting with basic snow clearance where safe,Ā and supporting those affected by flooding, power outages or isolation. Our vision also includesĀ connecting people with appropriate local support services andĀ promoting physical and mental wellbeing through community walks, group exercise, outdoor activities, social gatherings and opportunitiesĀ toĀ build friendships and reduce loneliness. Through volunteering, mutual support and community-led initiatives, we hope to create a stronger, healthier, more connected and resilient Herefordshire, where everyone feels valued, supported and included.
