Get Involved. Make a Difference.

Everyone has something to contribute, and everyone deserves a community they can rely on.

Whether you're looking to volunteer your time, share your knowledge, access community support or simply connect with others, Herefordshire Resilience Forum welcomes people from all walks of life.

Our aim is to bring individuals, families, volunteers and organisations together to build a stronger, more prepared and resilient Herefordshire.

You don't need specialist skills, qualifications or experience to get involved. Sometimes, making a difference is as simple as offering a helping hand, sharing useful advice or being there for someone who needs support.

Need a Helping Hand?

As our community network develops, we hope to connect people who may need practical assistance with volunteers, local resources and appropriate support organisations.

Whether you're an older resident struggling to access essential supplies during severe weather, someone experiencing social isolation, or simply looking for advice and local connections, we want to hear from you.

Our ambition is to help communities support one another through practical assistance, resource sharing, welfare initiatives and signposting to trusted local services.

If you think you could benefit from community support, get in touch and tell us how we may be able to help.

Please note that the Forum is a developing community initiative, and assistance will depend on available resources and volunteers. We are not an emergency response service.

Your time, knowledge and willingness to help could make a real difference to someone in your community.

We're looking to build a diverse network of volunteers from across Herefordshire who are interested in supporting local initiatives, sharing practical skills and helping others when circumstances allow.

There are many ways to contribute, from helping vulnerable residents access essential supplies during adverse weather, assisting with community activities and wellbeing initiatives, to sharing professional knowledge, supporting educational workshops or helping organise events.

Perhaps you're a healthcare professional, farmer, tradesperson, outdoor enthusiast or someone with access to useful equipment. Equally, you might simply have a few spare hours and a desire to help others.

Whatever your background or experience, we'd love to hear from you.

As our volunteering programme develops, appropriate safeguarding, training, insurance and role-specific checks, including DBS checks where eligible, will form part of our arrangements.

Register your interest today and help us build a stronger, more connected Herefordshire.

Join Our Community

You don't have to volunteer to be part of something meaningful.

Herefordshire Resilience Forum is also a place to connect with others, exchange ideas, share experiences and develop new skills.

Whether you're interested in emergency preparedness, gardening, homesteading, outdoor activities, sustainable living or simply meeting new people, our community welcomes everyone.

We hope to develop opportunities for community walks, educational talks, practical workshops, social activities and informal gatherings that bring people together, encourage wellbeing and reduce isolation.

You may have valuable knowledge to share, questions you'd like answered or simply an interest in becoming more prepared and self-reliant.

Join our growing community, take part in conversations and help shape the future of the Forum.

Partner with Us

Building resilient communities requires collaboration, shared knowledge and collective effort.

We welcome opportunities to work with local businesses, charities, emergency services, educational providers, community groups and other organisations that share our commitment to preparedness, wellbeing and community resilience.

We're particularly interested in exploring partnerships that could support educational talks, practical workshops, community events, volunteering initiatives and assistance for vulnerable residents.

Whether your organisation could offer professional expertise, access to suitable venues, equipment, resources, financial support or opportunities for collaboration, we'd welcome a conversation.

As the Forum develops, we also intend to explore appropriate grants, sponsorship and funding opportunities to help turn community ideas into practical initiatives.

By working together, we can achieve more for the people and communities of Herefordshire.
